Welcome to the March 2017 edition of Parvati Magazine.

The Chinese Taoist master Lao Tzu from the sixth century B.C. wisely reminds us: “If you look to others for fulfillment, you will never be truly fulfilled.” Yogis, sages and spiritual masters teach us to look within to find lasting joy. So we know that the key to finding balance in relationships with others is in finding balance in our relationship with our self, which begins within.

We have guideposts, clues, along the path of self-awakening. We learn to support what feels rooted, vital and expansive and let go of that which feels constrictive and disconnected. When we explore our relationships from that vantage point, we can see that expansion supports our evolution, and constriction keeps us in some way in a state of disconnection and suffering.

Simply by being alive, you are in constant relationship with life itself. May you be inspired by this month’s articles to deepen your sense of interconnection with all that is.

Everyone and everything in your life is a teacher, giving you an opportunity to embody wisdom-compassion and realize your true nature as unconditional love.

This does not mean you need to hang out with someone or stay in a situation that makes you feel constricted or disconnected. In some cases, life is simply teaching that you need to set healthy boundaries and move on, which can also be an expression of love.

Continue to make choices that support your highest good. It is then that everyone benefits. We are all interconnected.

Until next month, remember: love yourself, love others, love our world. We are one Earth family.

Namaste,
Parvati
