Parvati Magazine June/July 2018 - Creativity

June/July 2018: Creativity (Read the Full Issue)

Welcome to the June/July 2018 edition of Parvati Magazine.

We are all interconnected, far beyond what our limited senses can perceive. As we each open to this moment in loving wonderment, everyone wins. Because of this interconnection, and because of the power of our media to affect our lives, I feel that the role and corresponding responsibility of artists – and anyone doing creative work in the public eye – has never been more potent.

In this issue on the theme of “Creativity”, we explore Dr. Chelsea Jackson Roberts’s yoga activism, Hey Ocean!’s catchy new album, Ellie Krieger’s joy in “real, good food”, VEJA’s delightful and eco-friendly footwear, Dell’s work to leave a legacy of good, the inspiring true story The Miracle Season, and guidance from me on nourishing your creativity and making works that last.

Thank you for reading the June/July 2018 issue of Parvati Magazine.

The American mythologist and writer Joseph Campbell said, “The function of the artist is the mythologization of the environment and the world.” He believed the artist’s role is to give a current voice to the divine intelligence whose source is beyond time and space.

The creative process, whether conscious or not, taps into a collective field of energy, to such an extent that literally what we each do, think and create both reflects and shifts the directive of our consciousness as a whole.

May your creative offerings, whatever they may be, arise from a place of presence and awareness. In this way, you amplify and support our collective evolution.

Love yourself.
Love others.
Love our world.
We are one Earth family.
