If you had a lot of fun on St. Patrick’s Day recently, or if you just want to give your body a rest from the work it does processing the treats we indulge in, here is a sure way to cleanse the liver and gallbladder.
This flush is from Anthony Di Pasquale’s website and originally comes from the source “Cure for all Diseases” by Hulda Clark, ND, © 1995. The cleanse takes two days and the effects can include improved energy, digestion, cholesterol levels, and a sweeter disposition!
Prepare the week before your cleanse by eating two to three apples a day. The pectin in apples gives a gentle preparatory cleansing for the gallbladder. If you have weak digestion or cannot digest raw apples, then consider watered-down apple cider or applesauce three times a day.
Be aware that during the cleanse you are going to feel some discomfort. You will have loose stools, and should not be too far from a washroom. So it is best to do this cleanse on a quiet weekend when you have a chance to recover in a relaxed space.
Morning: eat only fruit (nothing else)
Lunch: only eat vegetables, raw or cooked (only use water to cook them — no oil, salt or seasonings)
Throughout the day: drink water, or a mixture of four parts water to one part apple cider, as desired
6:00PM: Drink ¾ cup water with 1 tablespoon Epsom salts
8:00PM: Drink ¾ cup water with 1 tablespoon Epsom salts
Bedtime (10:00PM or sooner)
Immediately before you go to bed, drink the following.
½ cup virgin olive oil + ½ – ¾ cup freshly squeezed grapefruit juice
Shake well, drink, and go straight to bed, lying on your right side or your back.
Note: Do everything you need to do for bed before you drink this mixture: brush your teeth, make your bed, put on your pyjamas, and anything else you do before bed. It is important that you lie down to sleep immediately after you drink the mixture.
In the morning, as soon as you wake up: Drink ¾ cup water with 1 tablespoon Epsom salts
Two hours later: Drink ¾ cup water with 1 tablespoon Epsom salts
One hour after that: Eat fruit
One hour after that: Eat as desired, with small portions.
