From The Editor: New Beginnings in 2012

Happy holidays and happy New Year! May 2012 be a year full of all things beautiful, abundant in joy, peace and prosperity for you and your family.

We are all aware of the potency that this year brings. 2012 has been heralded as a powerful year of transformation since ancient times. Whatever this year has in store, we know that we face broad changes globally as we learn to occupy a new understanding of the present. Reassuringly, change is the one thing of which we can be sure. Through it all, may we feel inspired to embrace and live each moment fully.

For Parvati Magazine, this year begins with our first double issue: twice as many articles for you to enjoy. We are very pleased with the extra quality content that supports you getting started on your New Year’s path on the right foot. This year, we will be publishing twice as much content every three months. So April will be our next plus size issue.

Naturally, the theme for our January 2012 issue is “New Year”. Each year, we face the end of one year and the beginning of the next, often with hopes and expectations that we will find more of what we want. Yet often December rushes through in a busy whirl and we stumble into the the New Year with a hangover rather than a clear mind to greet what lies ahead.

May this New Year begin for you with openness, health and ease. Here, you will find tips to support just that: how to say “Yes!” to life and manage expectations, fear and doubt when starting something new; health and beauty advice for after a little celebration overindulgence; how to create your own winter warm up comfort food while snuggling up to watch movies that inspire you to create the life you want, and business counsel to make 2012 fulfilling. You will also find inspiration in the life and work of exemplary leaders, to help you put your best intentions into action to meet a world in need.

May 2012 be your best year yet.
