Letter from the Editor: Renewal

Welcome to the Renewal issue of Parvati Magazine! As spring begins in the Northern Hemisphere, we celebrate the opportunity to refresh or to begin again with aspects of our lives that may have become stagnant or dark over the winter (or over many years). This month, we feature articles by Parvati Devi and guest yoga columnist Ashley Holly on renewal in relationships or on one’s own; calls to renewed self-care by both our fitness columnist, Sandra O’Brien, and our beauty columnist, Kristen Ma; and as our diets naturally shift with the spring to lighter fare, we look at how what we eat can affect how we feel about ourselves and vice versa with columns on raw food by Ella Isakov, fad diets by Julie Daniluk and a weight loss book review by me.

Joining Parvati Magazine this month is new music columnist Adam Nathan. Check out his column!

And finally, in the spirit of renewal, we would like to share with you some new opportunities at Parvati Magazine. It is time for this magazine to transform itself to allow me to take a less active role so that I can focus more fully on supporting the amazing new music Parvati is touring this year. I’ll still be here and writing regularly, but need helpers to take on some of the behind-the-scenes editorial and administrative support. Please contact me by email to pranada@parvatimagazine.com if you would be interested in helping Parvati Magazine move forward through 2013 and beyond.
